This Bethesda homeowner wanted to turn a dated, builder-grade bathroom into a clean, modern space that felt like a hotel spa. The old layout had a cramped tub-shower combo, poor lighting, and a vanity with almost no storage.
We opened the space up with a custom walk-in shower — large-format porcelain tile, a frameless glass panel, a built-in bench, and a mosaic tile floor for slip resistance. A recessed niche keeps shampoo bottles off the ledges, and the Kohler hand shower and rain head are finished in brushed nickel.
The centerpiece is a floating walnut double vanity with a white quartz top and undermount sinks, paired with a backlit LED mirror that runs the full width of the wall. New LVT flooring, recessed ceiling lights, and pendants complete the space — and everything was rewired and re-plumbed to current Montgomery County code.
