Kitchen Transformation – Bethesda, MD
This before-and-after kitchen transformation in Bethesda, MD took a dated 1990s oak kitchen down to the studs and rebuilt it as a bright, open space — white shaker cabinetry, a gold-veined quartz waterfall island, and warm herringbone flooring.
The original kitchen had builder-grade oak cabinets, laminate counters, vinyl flooring, and a single ceiling fixture. Instead of working around any of it, we cleared the room completely — which is what makes the before-and-after so dramatic.
Beneath the new finishes, the kitchen received the same full mechanical update as every project we do — electrical, plumbing, and ventilation to current code.

Full-height white shaker cabinetry replaced the original oak — uppers taken to the ceiling for extra storage and a cleaner line. Soft-close doors and drawers throughout, every cabinet custom-sized to the space.
A new center island with a gold-veined, marble-look quartz top and waterfall sides — the centerpiece of the transformation. It adds seating, prep space, and storage the original kitchen never had.
The old vinyl floor came out and warm herringbone-pattern flooring went in — durable, water-resistant, and laid to draw the eye toward the island.
A full-height, marble-look slab backsplash runs behind the range — clean, seamless, and easy to maintain with no grout lines. Installed and sealed by Think2Remodel’s tile specialists.
Brushed brass pulls, faucet, and a statement pendant warm up the white palette. Recessed LED downlights and under-cabinet strips replaced the single builder-grade ceiling fixture.
Soffits and a partial wall were removed to open the room and let light travel. Electrical, plumbing, and ventilation were all brought up to current code — the same full mechanical update we do on every project.
